Calling Visionary Partners & Funders: Help Empower Communities with Place Based Capital and Community Asset Ownership
The Place Based Capital Initiative is working toward a future where local communities have the power and capital to drive their own social and economic development and address pressing challenges like housing shortages, disadvantage and building a sustainable economy.
With over 100 practical solutions and a dedicated network of Places and Partners already in place, we are now seeking visionary partners and funders to help us scale and deepen this impactful work.
Your support will enable communities to implement these solutions, establish robust support systems and address their unique challenges. By investing in Place Based Capital, you’re not just funding projects; you’re helping communities reclaim their economic futures. 🔑
For more information view our Partner & Investment Proposal and contact Meaghan Burkett via phone 0407 024 036 or email [email protected].
Advancing Equity Summit
The 2024 inaugural Advancing Equity Summit, hosted by The Equity Co•Lab and Country to Coast, QLD, is a call to action to address the social norms, systems, and structures that underpin inequity in our communities.
The summit will be held between 17-18 October 2024 on Kabi Kabi Country (Noosa Heads, Queensland). Here is a link to the program and registration page.
Kate Williams will be co-facilitating a session Transforming from Within: The Personal Journey to Drive Equity. Following Dr. Michael McAfee’s keynote, this session explores the personal introspection needed to advance equity.
This reflective process centers on developing self-knowledge and awareness. By cultivating a deeper understanding of our own thoughts, feelings, and reactions, we can better recognise how our personal experiences shape our perspectives on equity and inclusion.
