I had the pleasure of running a whole-of-staff workshop with the Corangamite Catchment Management Authority to support them in implementing their new natural capital priority as part of their corporate strategy.
Together, we explored the fundamentals of natural capital and environmental markets, and stepped through how CMAs, regional communities and landholders can lead, influence and implement locally relevant natural capital and environmental market opportunities for their region.
The learning objectives were to:
– Build a strong foundation of understanding
– Connect natural capital and environmental markets to the work everyone does, every day
– Inspire new ideas and practical pathways for action
– Support both local impact and broader system change
– Equip staff to confidently advise on and influence emerging opportunities
What emerged was a shared sense of possibility, purpose and potential. When we make natural capital and environmental markets accessible and relevant to everyone’s role and circumstances, we unlock powerful pathways for system change and better outcomes for nature.
I’m looking forward to seeing how Corangamite CMA continues to lead in this space 👏
Thanks Amber Clarke Chris Pitfield, it was a pleasure.
